Scholars are recognized weekly for demonstrating expectations while on the school bus and/or on the campus.  These scholars’ names are drawn bi-weekly for an opportunity to receive a free lunch as a part of Sonny’s “Kids with Character” program.

Teachers notify parents weekly by telephone to inform them of their student’s success with demonstrating positive behaviors.

Every Friday during 7th period scholars who have demonstrated their expectations will attend schoolwide PBIS Clubs. Club day was developed as part of the PBS program to provide scholars an opportunity to explore personal interests, as well as encourage them to maintain positive behavior and academic progress throughout the week.

    PBIS Clubs

Scholars can select their clubs based on their interests

    PBIS Power Hour

Any scholar may join a PBIS club, but “F” grades are not allowed. Scholars will be completing a grade check every Thursday. If a scholar has an “F” they will be required to report to PBIS Power Hour instead of clubs. During PBIS Power Hour, scholars will report to the classroom teacher(s) for remediation until the “F” grades are at least a “D”. If the grade is not improved within 2 weeks, they will be removed from the club so that students with no “F’s” may have the opportunity to participate.

    PBIS Breakfast Club

Every 4 weeks we will hold a PBIS Breakfast Club which will be sponsored by a community business/member. During the Breakfast Club we will review student data with the student, parents and other individuals that are involved in the student’s life. There will also be support from the zoned school liaison and other district administrators.
