South Sumter High

During National Poetry Month--April, my classes worked on analysis of poetry and creating original poems. Students wrote Ode's Tapestry Poems, and Blackout Poetry.  All students seemed to enjoy this unit as they gained a better appreciation of our language through this medium, from modern poets to the classics.
