Why I Love what I Do
-
On December 7, 2022, SSHS basketball players thanked their teachers who inspired them. These three boys (Tim Thomas, Semaj Shines, and Danta Williams) brought tears to my eyes. They know me well as a teacher who insists that they work hard. Although they may at times complain, they appreciate it and see that I truly care about their academic journey and future. Thank you boys, you helped me see that after 35 years I am still making a difference. Go Raiders!!!
Mrs. Moffitt
- Thanks for not allowing me to turn in assignments late, for not babying me. Always helping me with my work by showing me a little bit of the real world. In the real world, people are not going to baby you. Thanks
- Thanks for being a woman of character and modesty. You always push me to go harder and do my best in class and in life. I appreciate you for being strict on me whenever I start to slack because it shows you care. You teach me what it means to be successful in life. Even though you are a woman, you're still a role model to me.
- Thanks for telling me that, no matter how tired you can be, you need to find discipline to keep going.
- Thanks for being hard on me. Teaching me how to correctly write essays. Always helping me with my work and always being there for me.
