This Thanksgiving season, my class was welcoming a bit of Old English as we studied Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet. Even though we read short portions of the plays, they were exposed to the great language of William Shakespeare and his use of metaphors, puns and dramatic language. Acting it out was a favorite assignment.
This season I am thankful for many things, my students of course, a school system that supports not only those who work in Sumter, and those who give countless hours above and beyond the expectations of being educators. My family is of course my haven and the ones I cherish, we are so blessed.
